Sikander Kher Biography Son of Anupam Kher and Kiron Kher, Sikander has acting in his DNA. Even though he claims his parents haven’t taught him much about acting – except a six month long acting workshop with his illustrious dad – Sikander has always paid heed to their tips and advices on acting. He has also done a three-month acting course under Kishore Namit Kapoor.
Sikander was born into a Bollywood family and got exposed to the world of cinema (Hindi and international) at an early stage.
When he was just 15 years old, Sikander worked as an assistant to Yash Chopra in ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’. After that he worked under another master filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali in ‘Devdaas’. Though direction is still not on Sikander’s wishlist, he says he learnt a great deal from these two filmmakers.
There was also a rumour that Bhansali was thinking of launching Sikander in a film, but the project never took off.
At last, in 2008, Sikander opens his Bollywood innings with two films – ‘Woodstock Villa’ and ‘Summer Of 2007’.
