‘I Hate Luv Storys’ director waiting to get spanked! Sonam Kapoor, Imran Khan & Punit Malhotra
One can expect odd or bizarre comments coming from the writer-critic Shobhaa De who loves to watch and dissect films. The fashionista recently saw I Hate Luv Storys and guess what she has to say about the movie’s director Punit Malhotra?

According to her, Punit is the “chief villain” for making a bad film like IHLS, and that one could “spank him in public”. Shobhaa’s special column features in a daily and the lady uses the platform to express her views. The IHLS movie review is also on her blog.

Well, the remark that too by someone like Shobhaa De didn’t go unnoticed. Punit who is certainly on cloud nine after the good box office response to his film couldn’t take these scathing bits of criticism lightly. The young director tweeted in response: “I am waiting to be spanked by a fossil who is so bitchy because she isn’t getting any.”

In fact, actress Sonam Kapoor re-tweeted his message, but later both of them deleted it.

Perhaps they got a word of advice from their producer, the ever diplomatic Karan Johar.
