Sonam Kapoor, the hottest girl from India
A girl better known for her docile image and style quotient is surprisingly Maxim India’s hottest girl this year. Sonam Kapoor is at No. 1 spot, pipping the beauties like Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and last year’s winner Bipasha Basu.

Naturally, the Aisha girl is enjoying being numero uno. “…It’s really important to me. I like the words ‘hot’ and ‘sexy.’ It’s fun and at the same time, speaks about your sensuality, passion and depth,” Sonam is quoted as saying by a daily.

The other beauties in ‘Maxim Hot 100’ include Amrita Rao, she debuts in 32nd position, Anushka Sharma at No. 24, Jacqueline Fernandez at No. 35 and new-in-Bollywood Trisha Krishnan at 93rd spot. The list also features some of the India’s leading models like Lisa Haydon (Aarti from Aisha) at No. 48, Esha Gupta at No. 55 and Maybelline face Diana Penty at No. 76.

According to Vivek Pareek, editor, Maxim magazine, “It (list) has girls who have inspired men with their hotness and stood the test of swinging appreciation and mindsets.”

The list also features foreign hotties like Katy Perry (No. 12) and the Avatar actress Zoe Saldana (No. 26).
