Mallika Sherawat bares all for 'Hisss'!
For long there has been a buzz about Mallika Sherawat having gone nude for her role as a naagin in Hisss. Now, a co-producer of the film has confirmed the same.

Quoting co-producer Govind Menon from a tabloid report: “Mallika has done most of the nude scenes in Hisss herself. She is a very committed artiste.”

The producer went on to say that a body double of Mallika was used not necessarily in the nude scenes but in the shots where the character of the snake woman is shown wallowing in the mud.

Menon added that nudity wasn’t forced deliberately in the film, but was the need of the script.

“The whole concept of nudity is justified because when you transform into a snake, which Mallika often does in the film, you can't have a dress or even a cloth or even a piece of jewellery on you,” Menon is quoted to have said.

Hisss is directed by Jennifer Lynch and having a woman director certainly helped ease Mallika’s apprehensions.

The latest to heap praises on Mallika for her dedication and performance is in the film is Laxmi Bai Nalapat, a member of the Travancore royal family and also a Mallika's co-star in Hisss. Nalapat said, "Mallika is a very hardworking and dedicated actor. She spent hours to perfect a four-minute snake dance scene in the film."

Made at a cost of Rs 30 crores, the multi-lingual Hisss also stars Divya Dutta and Irrfan Khan. The film will be released worldwide in 2,200 screens on October 22. In India, the English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions of the film will be released on that day, while the Malayalam version will be released in Kerala on October 29.
