Miss America Alexandria Millis won the Miss World 2010 crown in the 60th annual contest that took place in China. Miss India World Manasvi Mamgai from Mumbai failed to finish in the top 20.
Wearing a ivory-colored dress American blonde Alexandria Mills, a teenager from Kentucky was a surprise winner. She beat 114 other women to win the coveted title. Emma Wareus of Botswana came in second place and Adriana Vasini of Venezuela placed third.
According to Alexandria’s biagorphy on the Miss World website, she’s a vegetarian and she enjoys traveling, photography and playing the French horn and would like to become a teacher someday. Her personal motto is "The best things in life are worth waiting for, fighting for, believing in, and just never letting go of it."
22 year old Miss India World Mansavi Mamgai is already a model; she won Elite Model Look India in 2006 and also bagged the Miss Tourism International title in 2009. She has done ads for various brands like Lifestyle, Wagon R and Woodland prior to being crowned the Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2010 beauty pageant in May. It is disappointing but she failed to finish among the top 20 contestants at Miss World.
