The Apsara Award in Mumbai last night turned out to be the occasion for Shahrukh Khan and Farah Khan to iron out their differences and be friends again.
SRK had been extending an olive branch to both Farah and Salman Khan lately, and on Tuesday night he went ahead and invited Farah to his vanity van at Bandra-Kurla complex where the award function was being held. Farah did meet SRK and the two cleared the misunderstandings that had caused the freeze in their friendship since last one year.
The two chatted amicably and promised to get together again soon.
The rift in their friendship had occurred about a year back when Farah Khan opted for Akshay Kumar, instead of SRK, for her film Tees Maar Khan. Things almost came to a head when, prior to the release of TMK, reports came that SRK was covertly planning to damage the film’s box office collection by influencing the release of Toonpur Ka Superrhero on the same day. Farah had said she didn’t believe that SRK would stoop to that level.
The first sign of compromise came from SRK himself, who said on Koffee With Karan that it’s his fault that Farah and Salman aren’t talking with him anymore.
But on Tuesday night, all the misgivings, misunderstandings and resentments were put to rest. For good, we hope. |
