Director Anees Bazmee wants to premiere the film in Canada

'Thank You' to premiere in Canada?
If Bollywood director Anees Bazmee has his way, his next film Thank You will be premiered in Canada.

'Thank You' is a romantic comedy around extra marital affairs and features Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Irrfan Khan, Sunil Shetty, Celina Jaitley and Rimi Sen. It will hit the screens April 8. Some portions of the film have been shot in Vancouver.

So likewise, Bazmee wants the film to premiere in Canada and has his reasons for hoping so, a source is quoted as telling a news agency.

'Anees Bazmee, since the start, wanted to shoot in fresh locations for 'Thank You' and so he insisted on shooting in Canada. But there were a few problems in shooting with regard to approvals for filming in the city.

'But Akshay being a resident of Canada came to the rescue and helped in all ways possible by getting visas, permissions and other requirements finalised so that the shooting could be carried out smoothly,' said the source.

Since the film has been shot extensively in Canada, it is justified for Bazmee to have high hopes, and Akshay, who is currently serving as a brand ambassador in India for the Canadian Tourism Commission, might surely help.
