Superstar Rajinikanth has a huge fan base in Japan. Now, he’s doing his bit to help the calamity-ravaged country

He is not only famous for his films but also for his good deeds towards society. Rajinikanth’s heart goes out to the people of Japan currently dealing with the triple whammy of earthquake, tsunami and possible nuclear disaster. The Tamil superstar will raise funds to help the people in Japan, and has even asked the stars like Kamal Haasan, Vijay, and Amitabh Bachchan to lend their support for the noble cause.
Rajinikanth enjoys a huge fan base in Japan. It’s been reported that the superstar has formed a team who will visit Japan, and will try to help the people in crisis there. Rajini is trying to do his bit, but seeing the enormity of the natural calamity and its fallout, he has appealed to his fellow industry people as well to come forward for Japan.
“Rajini Sir will do whatever is within his capacity and therefore he has appealed to his co-actors from the industry”, a source is quoted as saying. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan with whom Rajini shares good relations has come forward for Japan aid and will also try to raise funds from Bollywood.
It’s been almost 15 years since Rajinikanth’s movie Muthu - The Dancing Maharaja released in Japan.
