Box office report: 'Teen Thay Bhai' opens poorly, 'Thank You' rounds off a dull week
Comedies fail to draw crowds at box office

Comedies, no matter how silly or pointless, often attract footfalls to theatres, but the two recent releases Teen Thay Bhai and Thank You have fared rather dull at box office.

Starring the talented actors Om Puri, Shreyas Talpade and Deepak Dobriyal, Teen Thay Bhai, produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, has opened disastrously at box office with just 5 to 10 percent response at box office, primarily at multiplexes.

On the other hand, last week’s release Thank You, starring a host of stars like Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, Celina Jaitley, Irrfan Khan and Bobby Deol, has been below par in its first week. The film rounded off its first week with a collection of Rs. 29 crore approximately.

While Abhishek Bachchan’s Game is a flop, F.A.L.T.U, starring Jackky Bhagnani, has done a business of Rs. 20 crores nett in its two-week run at the box office.

The coming Friday would see the release of Rohan Sippy’s much anticipated movie Dum Maaro Dum.
