Box office report - ‘Shor In The City’ and ‘Chalo Dilli’ have poor weekend | Shor In The City | Naughty @ 40 | Chalo Dilli

There were altogether five releases this week but none could woo the audiences to the theaters. Though Chalo Dilli and Shor In The City managed to pick up a bit on Saturday and Sunday, their business can be termed as remarkable. The other releases I Am, Men Will Be Men, Naughty @ 40 have also gone almost unnoticed.

It can be called a very dull weekend. Shor In The City got good reviews and was expected to get better collection but it was Lara Dutta’s film Chalo Dilli that managed the best collections of all the new releases. The movie reportedly fared better in the Delhi/NCR area. Chalo Dilli collected around Rs 3.50 crore approx and its collection can go upto Rs 5.50 crore nett by the end of this week.

If Chalo Dilli is doing better at Delhi/NCR, Shor In The City, with Mumbai as one of its main characters, grossed around Rs 1.75 crore approx over the weekend. Its best business was reported in the Mumbai multiplexes. The film should do around Rs 3 crore approx over the week.

Govinda’s film Naughty @ 40 had a very poor start. The movie witnessed 0-5% collections. The film clearly stands no chance at the box office.

Dum Maaro Dum crashed at the box office after a not-so-impressive first week. The movie collected Rs 22.50 crore approx. The film is likely to finish its business with approx Rs 30 crore.
