As many as six movies hit the theatres this Friday, but none of them managed to pull the crowds away from the Salman Khan runaway hit Ready.

Bheja Fry 2 did not get good reviews from the critics but it did manage a response of 25 to 30 percent on its opening day. The film has fared below expectations so far and will need to pick up on Saturday and Sunday to ensure a good opening weekend.

Likewise, Always Kabhi Kabhi, which hasn’t got good reviews, opened still poorer, with only 10 to 15 percent response on Friday. The film will need a big push in the collections to not be a flop.

The response to Bhindi Baazaar Inc was equally dull. It opened to 10 to 15 percent response and the footfalls are not likely to increase much on Saturday and Sunday. Among other releases Bin Bulaye Baarati did score well in North India. Cycle Kick and My Husband’s wife were a washout.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s Ready is still going strong, though there has been a dip in the collections in the second week. The film has so far raked in more than Rs. 100 crore and is likely to stay in theatres for at least two more weeks. Verdict: Ready is a superhit!
