Deepika Padukone gets a call from Rajinikanth?

Rajinikanth’s poor heath and the subsequent delay of the film Rana has caused Deepika Padukone to make changes in her date diary.

Moreover, a big question mark has been put over the fate of Rana, with speculation flying thick and fast that the film may well be shelved. To dispel such notions, Rajinikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush has already been making statements that the film will indeed be made. Moreover, Rajinikanth himself has been calling up people to reassure them of his commitment.

So as Rajinikanth recovers his health and spirit while holidaying abroad after being discharged from Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore last month, the superstar has been calling his friends and colleagues from abroad.

The likes of Shankar (director of Endhiran), K S Ravikumar (director of Rana) and Vairamuthu (lyricist of Rana) have already received calls from the superstar. Now, we hear that the superstar called up Deepika Padukone, the leading lady of Rana.

The superstar spoke to her about resuming the film’s shoot by September, reports say.

In response, Deepika expressed her well wishes towards Rajinikanth and assured him that she would take out time for Rana when needed.

After all, who would say no to Rajinikanth!
