Watch the first teaser of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

After a gap of three long years, our favourite superhero BATMAN is finally here! Once again, it’s the talented Christopher Nolan wielding the director’s baton.

The official teaser trailer of The Dark Knight Rises has been released online; but the sad part is that it does not reveal much!

The teaser (totally justifies its name) is more of an old footage coupled with a bit of new one! This looks more to be a ‘pronouncement’ montage rather than a full-fledged trailer. But hey, something is better than nothing!

The teaser begins with Gary Oldman, who plays Commissioner Gordon in the film, fighting for his life in a hospital bed and pleading Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) to bring back his superhero -- Batman. A great visual in the teaser that needs a special mention is the one wherein the Gotham superstructures fall to pieces and divulge the sky in the shape of the signature Batman symbol.

However, the final shot of the teaser is the best one! One can see Batman gearing up for a fight with the villain of the movie, Bane (Tom Hardy). This is perhaps the first time Batman fans can hope to witness a one-on-one Batman-Villain intense fight sequence!

Anyhow, although this is just a teaser and doesn’t reveal much, we are sure it does create enough buzz and the fans can now start counting down the days for the release of the second (and bigger) trailer. Have a look at the first teaser of The Dark Knight Rises here:
