Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is the sequel to the hit 2009 flick Sherlock Holmes and both the parts have been directed by Guy Ritchie. The sequel sees the return of Robert Downey Jr. as the ace detective Sherlock Holmes and his partner in crime Dr. Watson, played by Jude Law. An addition in the cast, Noomi Rapace will definitely act as an eye candy for the viewers. She plays the character of Sim, who is a gypsy fortune teller in the film.
The trailer begins with Sim reading Sherlock Holmes’ fortune; but on the contrary he reads her fortune and reveals that her next client wants to kill her (which he actual tries to)! Both of them predict each other’s future to be in danger! What follows next is some great action-packed footage and a foretaste of the peerless on-screen chemistry between Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.
However, there is no glimpse of Stephen Fry (who plays Holmes’ elder brother Mycroft Holmes) and Rachel McAdams (Irene Adler, who is said to be the only woman who can outwit Holmes) in the trailer and that definitely comes as a shock!
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows revolves around what is perhaps the most important case of Sherlock Holmes’ career. He faces stiff competition from his intellectual rival, Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris). Moriarty has devised a grand plot with the intention of varying the balance of world power. Holmes, along with the fortune teller Sim and his trustworthy amigo Dr. Watson, must beat Moriarty’s astuteness and put a stop to his plan.
The trailer constitutes some great cinematographic sequences! Action, humor (the cross-dressed Sherlock Holmes) and thrill…the trailer has it all! Be sure that the movie will bring in something huge!
The movie is slated to release in December, but before that you’ve gotta have a look at the trailer of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows here:
