Shahid Kapoor to play Chhota Rajan?
Shahid Kapoor approached to play the role of gangster Chhota Rajan in the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai

A story based on the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim can’t be complete without his henchman-turned-foe Chhota Rajan. We hear, Shahid Kapoor has been approached to play the role in the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai.

While the casting of Akshay Kumar as the elder Dawood (taking off from Emraan Hashmi’s shrewd Shoaib in OUATIM) was announced a few months back and even a sneak peek of his look as the dapperly don revealed at an award function, there’s been a blank on who will play Chhota Rajan.

If things go as planned, Shahid Kapoor will step in Rajan’s shoes.

Buzz is that producer Ekta Kapoor and director Milan Luthria recently met Shahid to discuss the role. Shahid appears interested in the role but he hasn’t given his nod yet.

However, if Shahid indeed comes aboard, there might be a slight complication for the makers, for Kareena Kapoor is tipped to bag the leading role opposite Akshay Kumar. She will play the role of Mandakini, who was close to Dawood.

It’s no secret that Shahid and Kareena have avoided working together after their split. Will Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 be their comeback film? Watch this space.
