Angelina Jolie gets ‘Heart Of Sarajevo’ Award
The evergreen Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie was given the honorary prize, ‘Heart Of Sarajevo Award’, for her humanitarian efforts at the Bosnian capital’s film festival.

At the festival, she also attended a screening of her directorial debut In the Land of Blood and Honey, a love story set in the backdrop of the Bosnian war in the 1990s.

Accepting the award at the city’s National Theatre, Angelina Jolie professed her love for Bosnia and added the movie was a chance for people to understand what happened in the country during the bloody period of history.

Angelina was overwhelmed by the applause and adulation she got at the fest and she is quoted as saying by Contact Music: “I love this country. I will start crying if you don’t stop…This movie was a chance to bring attention to the situation that happened so long ago, and I hope that it brings attention and more dialogue to remind people what everybody here went through.”

Angelina’s long term-partner, 47-year-old actor Brad Pitt was also at the film festival.

In the Land of Blood and Honey is set to be released in the United States on December 23.
