Kareena Kapoor has drawn the laxman rekha to set the limits to which she will expose on camera in Bollywood films. And a hot bathing scene under the waterfall in the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai is way over that line.
The movie has Kareena playing the love interest of the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, to be played by Akshay Kumar. Since the don was once close to the actress Mandakini, famous for her wet-thin-sari-under-a-waterfall act in Raj Kapoor’s film Ram Teri Ganga Maili, director Milan Luthria wants to recreate the famous scene in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2.
The shot would require Kareena to don a white sari without a blouse and sit under a waterfall. Obviously, the Kapoor gal isn’t comfortable about the amount of skin exposure required in the scene and has expressed her apprehensions to Luthria.
Buzz is that Luthria and Bebo are trying to work out how to go about the scene in the best possible way.
Since the scene is one of the most famous of Mandakini’s career as an actress, Luthria doesn’t want to scrap it. He may, however, tone it down to the standards acceptable to Kareena Kapoor.
The film will only go on floors in January 2012, and the director and the actress have a lot of time to come to an agreement. |
