Katrina Kaif recently got a surprise belated birthday gift from her Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara co-star Farhan Akhtar.

Now that ZNMD has been declared a blockbuster and still going strong at box office, Farhan threw an impromptu party on Saturday to celebrate the film’s success, and no prizes for guessing that Katrina Kaif, the film’s leading lady, was invited.

We hear that Farhan surprised Katrina with a belated birthday gift. Katrina’s birthday was on July 16, but was not celebrated because of the Mumbai terror attacks that happened on July 13.

But a birthday gift was surely due and Farhan gave that to Katrina at the party on Saturday. The gift was a guitar, in keeping with Katrina’s new image as the rockstar babe in the song “Dhunki” from Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

We hear that when the ZNMD cast hit the road to promote the film, Farhan carried his guitar with him and Katrina liked it when he played it and expressed her desire to learn the instrument.

Well, now she’s got the guitar and also the desire to learn it. Is she willing to put her delicate fingers through the strain of learning the chords and riffs? Easier said than done!
