Another successful week for Ajay Devgan’s Singham at box office

Box Office report - ‘I Am Kalam’ and other releases fail to click; ‘Singham’ going steady
Though there were four releases last Friday including a touching kid’s story I Am Kalam, it was only Ajay Devgan starrer Singham that ruled the roost at box office.

There were expectations from I Am Kalam as the movie got rave reviews but the film witnessed poor collection at the box office. Chala Mussaddi - Office Office, a movie adaptation of the popular television serial Office Office, fared well in comparison to I Am Kalam and the other movies of the week, namely Warning and Khap. All the movies will find it hard to continue their run at the BO, and will go unnoticed.

Now coming to Singham, the movie is still roaring in full force at the BO. On Friday, the film completed its two weeks at the theatres with a nett collection of Rs 73 crores. As per trade reports, Singham is heading for Rs 12.50 to 13 crore nett third week.

The collections for the third week are as follows: on Friday, the movie grossed Rs. 1.75 crore approx; on Saturday it was Rs 2.50 crore; and on Sunday Rs 3.90 crore; while on Monday, Singham managed Rs 1.25 crore, which is quite good for its third week. It is expected that the film will continue its dream run, and is likely to touch the Rs 90 crore mark by the end of its third week. The film is going to be a superhit!
