However, what might not be known to many is the fact that it was during the first shooting schedule of Rana that Rajinikanth fell ill on the sets. He was then hospitalized in Singapore, and spent more than one month there for his treatment. Though Rajni is fine now, he is still not at his healthy best to start the shooting again.
Meanwhile, there were rumours surrounding the fact that since the shooting schedule of Rana has been delayed because of Rajinikanth’s health, Deepika might opt out of the movie due to her date problems. However, Deepika denied any such rumours and is quoted as saying: “Absolutely rubbish. I have asked them not to worry at all. Rajni sir’s health is most important.”
Deepika Padukone added: “I have assured them that whenever they want to start the film, whether this year or next, they shouldn’t worry about my dates. Whenever they need me, I will make myself available.”
In an industry where getting free dates of actresses has always been a problem for the directors and producers, Deepika saying that she will make herself available is surely a noble gesture.
