Chatur Singh Two Star - Movie Review
The ApunKaChoice movie review of Chatur Singh Two Star.
There was Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, and there was Tashan…And now, giving stiff competition to these movies is Sanjay Dutt’s Chatur Singh Two Star. I have to admit, it was a tough task to keep myself from dozing off while watching this movie!

Chatur Singh Two Star is based on the novel ‘Chalaak Jasoos’ and essays the story of a cop (Sanjay Dutt) who is infamous for his silly acts! But, he lives in his own fantasy world and feels that he is the smartest creature alive. Of course, others think the opposite! Nonetheless, he is able to solve a crucial murder mystery!

Amisha Patel, who is charged for murdering Gulshan Grover (a corrupt politician), flees to South Africa, where she is followed by Sanjay Dutt, the bumbling cop. The truth, however, is that Amisha is innocent…But wait a sec, do we even care?

Speaking about the performances by the so called ‘actors’, it seemed the cast foresaw the future, and overacted like the world was coming to an abrupt end! Sanjay Dutt, our Munna Bhai, acted like a Munna (baby), and it should not be wrong on the part of the audiences if they feel that this is one of Sanjay Dutt’s worst performances! Suresh Menon has never looked this irritating! At times you feel like storming out of the theatre and strangle either him, or yourself, for watching him act! Amisha Patel looks hot in her red chiffon sari in a raunchy number; but we can always check out her pics on the internet to catch a glimpse of her hot curves! Why go and watch the full length movie and punish yourself? Anupam Kher overacts too! Can you beat that?

Ajay Chandhok’s direction is awfully awful! I fail to understand that while he was directing the movie, was he not watching how the actors were acting, or rather trying to act? The movie fails to make you laugh even once! Laugh is not exactly the right word to be used! I could not even manage the ‘minisculest’ of smiles!

The music hardly leaves an impact on you! Sajid-Wajid have done an average job as music composers. If the songs of Chatur Singh Two Star are aired on radio, you will easily flip the station!

Overall, Chatur Singh Two Star is a must ‘not’ watch; even if you are a Sanjay Dutt fan. And I axe out one star out of its title and give the movie just one; and that too just for courtesy sake! Be chatur and stay far away from Chatur Singh Two Star!

This Singh is Boring.
