Katrina Kaif to become Munni in Tamil ‘Dabangg’
Katrina Kaif’s fans can’t get enough of her Sheila act, and now we hear that the actress is set to do Munni in Tamil remake of the Hindi blockbuster Dabangg. The makers are reportedly signing Katrina for the Tamil version of the popular item song, Munni Badnaam Hui, and have allotted a handsome Rs 2.5 crore for it.

Earlier, actor Sonu Sood, who is acting in Tamil Dabangg, titled Osthi, tweeted that hunt is on for Munni. The actor even asked his followers to suggest names, as to who will be fit to do the Munni act in the film. Well, it’s a tough call for the makers as comparisons with the original are bound to happen. So they decided to take a different course and in the turn of events zeroed down on Katrina, also putting aside a staggering Rs 2.5 crore for the song.

Reports also have it, that Sonu Sood is backing Katrina, as he is a good friend of the actress. But, why not Malaika Arora, the original Munni? Malaika has made her stance clear that she is not going to do any item song outside her home banner. Then there are also rumours about Bipasha Basu being approached to do a Munni in Tamil.

However, sources add, “The producers were keen on Bipasha. But Sonu is pushing for Katrina. He has already informed her.” While in the original song, Sonu had less screen time, the new version will see him shaking a leg with Munni from start to finish.

The song is going to be choreographed by Saroj Khan, and since Katrina is not busy with any film shoot, she might lap up the chance and become Munni too.
