Guys, move on from Malaika to Mallika! It’s official now. No Bipasha Basu , Vidya Balan, or Katrina Kaif. It’s only Mallika Sherawat who will turn on the heat with her ‘Munni’ number in Tamil ‘Dabangg’, Osthi, starring Tamil star Silambarasan.
Though speculations were rife that Bipasha Basu will do the coveted item, Silambarasan confirmed the news that it’s none else but Mallika Sherawat who will dance with him in ‘Munni’ song. “We were in talks with Katrina Kaif and Vidya Balan to do the song. Though both of them were interested, they couldn’t do it due to clash of dates. The makers had approached Mallika and she will dance for it,” says Silambarasan while talking to a daily.
Earlier, it was said that Sonu Sood, who has a crucial role in the film, is rooting for Katrina ‘Sheila’ Kaif, but later the actor disclosed on twitter, “Heard of some news that I don’t want Bipasha for Munni. In fact I was the one who suggested that she is the best for Munni song.”
But it seems the makers have something else in their minds and they zeroed down on Mallika Sherawat, who is a terrific dancer and, of late, has done several item songs in Bollywood. Mallika is reportedly being paid a bomb for the item song ‘Munni’ in Tamil remake of Dabangg which was last years’ biggest blockbuster of Bollywood.
The song is composed by music director Thaman and is touted to be one of the main highlights of the film. |
