Kannada actress Nikitha is relieved that the ban on her has been lifted

Finally, after some hue and cry from within the Kannada film industry and esteemed producer Parvathamma Rajkumar’s open denouncement of the move to ban the actress Nikitha, the ban has now been revoked.
The Kannada Film Producers Association (KFPA) had slapped a three-year ban on Nikitha for her alleged relationship with the star Darshan who is facing the accusations of domestic violence against his wife Vijayalakshmi.
Darshan in presently in hospital undergoing treatment for jaundice and asthma.
The decision of KFPA to ban Nikitha came as a shock to many. It was viewed that Nikitha was being made a scapegoat just because the producers can’t take a strong action against Darshan on whom Rs. 30 crore is riding.
Things took a turn when senior producer Parvathamma Rajkumar expressed disappointment at the ban.
Announcing the decision of lifting the ban against Nikitha on Thursday, president of the association, Munirathna admitted that the decision to ban her was "hasty" and "foolish".
Nikhitha says she is happy and relieved that the ban is revoked. She presently has two films in her kitty: Sangolli Rayanna and Cottonpete.
