Amitabh Bachchan gets injured, continues shooting

Amitabh Bachchan has turned the saying ‘Like Father, Like Son’ on its head. Just a few days after son Abhishek Bachchan was injured while shooting for Rohit Shetty’s film Bol Bachchan, the Big B suffered an injury on Wednesday in his ribs while filming Department with Ram Gopal Varma.

The superstar himself disclosed the news of his injury on Twitter.

“A minor incident on set during semi action sequence...got hit on chest rib cage, some damage inside, pain on breathing, bearable!,” the 68-year-old wrote on Twitter.

Bachchan added that the doctor says the injury will heal on its own.

“Guess its the season for injury... first Abhishek, now moi... happens... will repair on its own said doc .. he must be right!! (sic),” Bachchan tweeted.

Within minutes Amitabh Bachchan was flooded with tweets from concerned fans.

“Okaay I seem to have let loose a cannon!! It will heal... do not worry... all shall be well (sic),” Bachchan wrote.

However, the flurry of tweets didn’t stop. Some even accused Ram Gopal Varma of putting Mr. Bachchan through strenuous shoots.

“People of twitter world, relax! Should never have mentioned... just an accidental hit by either an elbow or the butt of a carbine,” Big B added.

Interestingly, Bachchan didn’t tell anyone about the injury on the sets. He continued shooting.

Ram Gopal Varma himself expressed surprise over Bachchan’s injury.

“I really didn't know about this till I read his tweets. He shot with me for over an hour after he hurt himself,” Ramu wrote. He later tweeted to Big B: “O hell, Sarkar, and you never told me about this.”
