A lot of celebrities from Bollywood turned up for the housewarming party of actress Deepika Padukone at her new pad in Prabhadevi. However, the party was cut short by police.
The party reportedly continued well past 3 am on Saturday, and one of the locals in the area called up the cops and complained about loud music coming from Deepika’s house. Two police vans arrived at the building one after the other and the officers went up to have a chat with the hostess.
Though it’s not clear if Deepika Padukone was penalized for playing loud music at night, the party came to an abrupt end right after the cops left.
The first to be seen leaving the venue were Imran Khan and his wife Avantika.
The party was a star-studded affair with celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Siddharth Mallya, Vijay Mallya, Abhay Deol, Preeti Desai, Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza.
