'Rockstar' going strong at box office
'Rockstar' witnesses a good second weekend

Rockstar, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri, continues to hold its place at box office as it rounded off its first week run and began the second week on a promising note.

The film may have got mixed reviews from critics but the cinegoers have indeed given the Imtiaz Ali-directed movie a shot. The movie did a business of around Rs. 10 crore in its second weekend. The break-up is thus: Rs 2.50 crore nett on Friday, Rs 3.25 crore nett on Saturday and Rs 4.25 crore nett on Sunday.

The first week business of Rockstar was Rs. 47.50 crore. Adding to this figure the returns from second weekend, we get a business of Rs. 57. 50 crore from the film’s ten-day run at theatres.

The response to Rockstar has particularly been good in NCR.

Meanwhile, the last Friday’s release Shakal Pe Mat Ja was a washout at box office.

The focus now shifts to Desi Boyz, starring Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh. The film is set to release this Friday.
