Kareena Kapoor says she doesn’t consider herself number one

Three hit films on a trot and a Filmfare award to boot! What more does an actor need to feel that she is number one? Perhaps a whole lot more if that actor happens to be Kareena Kapoor.

Since the end of 2009 when 3 Idiots went on to be a hit, Kareena’s career graph has been on the rise and with the success of Bodyguard and Ra.One this year, it has gone through the roof. Now, Kareena has arguably become the highest paid actress after signing Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine, for which she began shooting just days back.

But at the first look and trailer launch of her film Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu with Imran Khan, when Kareena was asked if she is the number one heroine in Bollywood, she was quite dismissive.

“I don't think I am heroine number one. But Heroine is a very special to me. After a long time, I am doing a performance oriented role. It is not for me to tell whether I am number one or not...I cannot say it,” Kareena Kapoor told reporters

The actress rather gave credit to her luck and good people she has worked with.

“I feel I just have been lucky enough to get some good films, good directors, good scripts and good co-stars,” Kareena said.

Imran Khan who was at the event, made it clear that Kareena Kapoor has always been number one for him. He said, “Kareena has always been my favourite”.

Kareena responded in kind by saying that “it is an honour” to work with Imran Khan.

However, when asked who according to her is the hero number one in Bollywood, Kareena’s response was prompt.

“For me Saif is the number one hero,” she said.

Well, that goes without saying.
