Box office report: 'Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl' is strictly average!
'Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl' gets a tepid response at box office

Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl failed to woo much viewers to the theatres and couldn’t rise out of the strictly mediocre opening at box office.

The movie, starring Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh in lead roles, got a rather lukewarm response from the audience on Friday with its first-day collection reaching only as far as Rs. 4.5 crore nett. The business picked up a bit on Saturday and the film registered slightly over Rs. 5.5 crore nett. The graph continued on its way up on Saturday and the business reached approximately Rs. 6.5 crore.

Totting up the numbers, the aggregate first weekend collection of the film is about Rs. 16.5 crore, which is clearly below the mark.

The film suffered on two counts. First, it’s second half is slack and puts off viewers. Second, The Dirty Picture managed to snatch away a lot of footfalls from Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl.

Yup, the Vidya Balan starrer continues to be a rage at the box office. After raking in a little over Rs. 50 crore till Thursday (in its first-week run) the film added another Rs. 12 crore to its kitty over its second weekend. The aggregate stands at about Rs. 62 crore (and still counting) which makes The Dirty Picture a superhit.

The next big release (and the last one) of the year would be Don 2 on December 23.
