If not so much as an actress, Katrina Kaif has certainly earned her stripes as a dancer. Her latest offering is the song Chikni Chameli from Agneepath and for this she is not only draped in a sexy sari but is also seen flaunting a bottle of pahua (alcohol) on her waist.
Yes, Katrina Kaif is Chikni Chameli, pahua chadha ke aayee. The makers have built tremendous hype over her song, and comparisons with Sheila Ki Jawani are bound to happen. But as per sources, compared to the steps in Chikni Chameli, Katrina’s jig in Sheila Ki Jawani was child’s play.
Choreographer Ganesh Acharya, who is the man behind the superhit desi item songs like Chamma Chamma and Yana Gupta’s famous item song Babu Ji Zara Dhire Chalo, has given Katrina Kaif some tough yet very racy and entertaining dance moves for the song, and that is visible in this 19-second-long official teaser. The song’s foot-tapping tune is by the music composers Ajay and Atul Gogavale, who have revived their old Marathi track Kombadi Palali to render Chikni Chameli.
It was even heard that after the shoot of the song Katrina Kaif was not able to move her limbs and took a break of three days to resume her work. But we guess all the hardwork by her has paid off well, and to believe what we are saying, better watch this teaser. However, for the full video, be patient!
