Ranveer Singh to woo Sonakshi Sinha in Dev Anand style

As a tribute to the Evergreen star Dev Anand the makers of Rs.60 crore action-adventure film Lootera are planning to have Dev Saab’s songs in their movie. Yes, the songs will be picturised on Ranveer Singh as he will try to serenade the beauty Sonakshi Sinha.

So, all-time hits of Dev Anand like “Khoya Khoya Chand”, “Tere Mere Sapne” and “Yeh Dil Na Hota Bechara” will get a new look in the movie which is going to be directed by Vikramditya Motwane. As per reports, the producer Madhu Mantena, who was associated with HMV-Saregama, will apply for the rights of Dev Anand’s melodies.

Apparently, director Vikramaditya Motwane would shoot the songs in black-and-white. Ranveer, who is a huge Dev Anand fan, would be shown as a fan of the star in the film as well, sporting the same hairstyle, clothes, attitude and, of course, enacting to the same songs.

Ranveer Singh has signed Lootera only after Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl and is super excited about his first period film. The young star has reportedly asked the makers of Lootera to grant him time to understand the period of the 1950s, and that includes studying cinema and songs of Dev Anand.

While talking to a tabloid, Mantena says about the Dev Anand influence on Lootera. “We’re most certainly going all-out to get the mood right. Beyond that it would be premature to reveal our exact plans.”
