Bipasha Basu has made an interesting New Year resolution: to learn the art of lying; that is to lie without being caught.

Bipasha calls herself a pathetic liar. She says that when the media asks her questions about her personal life, she can’t lie with a straight face. In 2012 she wants to change that.

“In 2011, I took a resolution that I am going to learn (the art) of lying a bit as it sometimes helps. I am a pathetic liar. In 2011, I failed badly. So in 2012, I think, I will try and perfect a bit,” Bipasha Basu said while promoting her film Players.

Bipasha added that her lies won’t be aimed at harming anyone.

“I will try to learn to say harmless lies. I want to be a harmless liar and sometimes I'll lie to get out of sticky situation media puts you into,” she added.

So the next time Bipasha reveals or is made to reveal something about her personal life, we know how to take it: with a pinch of salt.
