The New Year’s Eve had its share of unexpected twists and turns for Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi.

The 35-year-old was to perform at Country Club in Andheri and had even rehearsed well for his gig, but the police played party pooper and prevented the bash from happening.

Vivek Oberoi was at the club with his troupe on Dec 31, all set to scorch the stage, but the cops turned up and stalled the party, alleging that the requisite permission to hold a bash was not taken by the organizers.

Since the crowd of 2000 people who had bought tickets and had shown up to be entertained by Vivek Oberoi was getting unruly after learning that the gig was scrapped, the actor was politely told to leave the venue for his safety.

However, that was not the end of the drama. On his way home, Vivek was called back to the club because it seemed that the matter was sorted out with the police. However, when the actor doubled back and reached the venue, the cops were still there and did not allow the party to begin.

Anyhow, party or no party, Vivek Oberoi had a pay day of Rs. 80 lakh as promised by the organizers. The actor is presently holidaying with his wife.
