Akshay Kumar to dance on ‘Appadi Podu’

We are sure most of you must have danced to the catchy tunes of the hit song from South, Appadi Podu, at sometime or the other! Now, be ready to hear it in Bollywood style in an Akshay Kumar flick!

The rights of the song Appadi Podu from Ghilli were initially bought by Sonu Sood, which he was planning to use in his movie Lucky Unlucky. However, Akshay Kumar was too keen on featuring this number in his upcoming movie Naam Hai Boss.

Akshay Kumar made a special request to Sonu Sood and Sonu couldn’t say no! So, now, Akki has the rights of Appadi Podu.

Buzz even suggests that Naam Hai Boss is a remake of the Mammootty and Prithviraj starrer superhit Malayalam movie: Pokkiri Raja.

Mammootty’s character will be played by Akshay Kumar and Prithviraj’s character by Pakistani model Imran Abbas! Anthony D'Souza, the director of Blue, will don the director’s hat again for this movie.

Well, so far, the remakes of south films have been a success in Bollywood. Not only this, the modification of the southern songs to suit the Bollywood style (like Ringa Ringa being changed to Dhinka Chika) has been a success too!

We hope after Aamir Khan (Ghajini), Salman Khan (Ready and Bodyguard), and Ajay Devgan (Singham), Akshay Kumar, too, tastes success with the remake of a south movie!
