Ghajini fame director A.R. Murugadoss was looking for a great script to work with Shahrukh Khan. And now we hear that it’s not only him but also director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is keen to rope in SRK for a film.
Now, you must be thinking how these three are connected? Well, it was learnt that A.R. Murugadoss is planning to remake his 2002 Tamil film Ramana in Hindi. The film, starring Vijaykanth, revolved around a common man’s fight against corruption by forming an Anti Corruption Force. But when Sanjay Leela Bhansali heard the script of the film he was so impressed with it that he bought its rights and now is eager to have Shahrukh Khan to play the common man, who stands against corruption.
Shahrukh reportedly has liked the script. And thus A.R. Murugadoss was also brought on board for this project. Things might take time to get materialized and if all goes well, expect a thunderous film from the trio of Shahrukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and A.R. Murugadoss. Sounds brilliant!
‘Ramana’(Tamil) released in 2002 was a blockbuster. It starred captain Vijaykanth and Simran. The film, released during Diwali and ran for 150 days in theatres. It was later remade in Telugu as ‘Tagore’ with Chiranjeevi in the lead and then in Kannada as ‘Vishnu Sena’ with Vishnuvardhan in the lead role.
