Yes, when every other actress wants to share screen space with the legendary Rajinikanth, Vidya Balan said no to his Rana which also stars Deepika Padukone. It came as a shock for the industry people as to why would any actress let go off such a big opportunity.
But Vidya Balan, who has earned her stripes for her brilliant performances in various films, had her reasons for declining it. As per sources, when the film Rana was offered to Vidya its script wasn’t in place. Though she has great respect for Rajinikanth, she chose not to go ahead with the movie as her character details were very sketchy.
As a source is quoted as saying, “Vidya is the flavour of the season. She has proven herself time and again and Soundarya Rajinikanth (the producer) is looking for someone who can do complete justice to the part…”
Rajini Sir is also a big admirer of Vidya Balan and he believes that she has a great potential.
