Ranveer and Sonakshi’s 'Lootera' shoot snowed under
The shooting schedule of Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha’s film Lootera has been thrown off track by the weather gods!

After wrapping up a schedule in Mumbai, the cast and crew of Lootera was to begin the second schedule at Kalatop near Dalhousie in Himachal Pradesh. But the area has been snowed under since the last week, so much so that not just the power lines are disrupted in many areas, even the expensive set that was erected at Kalatop has been ruined.

Though the report that Sonakshi Sinha was stranded in her room for three days due to snowfall has turned out to be incorrect, it is true that the shoot has been delayed due to snow and Ranveer Singh too couldn’t reach the shooting location for two days because all the roads were choked with snow.

However, the silver lining has shone through and the snow has begun to melt, but that has only made the roads slippery. When Ranveer finally reached the shooting location he learnt that the schedule has been cancelled because the set is damaged by snow and the producers have incurred a loss of around Rs. 10 lakh. The crew will now return to Mumbai and then move to Kolkata for a new schedule. The Dalhousie shoot will be held later.

Lootera is Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha’s first film together. It is a classic love story set in the 1950s, is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane of Udaan fame. Lootera is set to release on October 26, which is Bakri Eid.
