|The superstar Rajinikanth is ready to start the year with a bang with his next project Kochadaiyaan to be directed by his daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth. The multilingual movie, which is going to be made in 3-D, was announced a couple of months ago, and will start rolling from January 19.
Now the question arises, is the star fit enough to start working? Last year, before he landed in the hospital with a stomach ailment, the actor was working in the film Rana which also starred the beautiful Deepika Padukone. Later Rajini sir was advised rest and was recuperating at his home. The only time he faced the camera during his resting period was for the film Ra.One. Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan especially requested the superstar to do a cameo in his film to which he cordially agreed.
Coming to Kochadaiyaan, the film will prove to be a milestone for the Indian films as it is expected to be the first Indian 3-D film which is going to be shot with the performance capture technology, first used in the Hollywood film Avatar and was also seen in the film The Adventures of Tintin.
There was also a buzz that the makers want Katrina Kaif opposite Rajinikanth, and later the name of Vidya Balan was under consideration.
Now, it is officially announced that the film will roll with formal pooja on January 19, 2012, at the actor’s favourite Pillayar temple located inside the AVM Studios, Vadapalani, Chennai. But there is no announcement about the actress of the film.
