Kareena Kapoor to direct a film!

There are many actors who wish to be a director, but hardly an actress seems interested in that vocation. However, Kareena Kapoor is one actress who already seems to be a director in the making. Yes, of late, Kareena has showed keen interest in the nuances of film making.

It’s heard that Karan Johar will give the actress her own project to direct as Kareena impressed him with her behind-the-scene skills in his latest production Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.

Actually, for Bebo the interest in direction was kindled while working in her beau Saif Ali Khan’s home production Agent Vinod. Kareena was so involved with the off-screen developments of Agent Vinod that by the time she came to Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, she was curious about everything, right from scripting, editing, mixing and background music. The actress reportedly was almost like an assistant director on the sets of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.

Like many of her male co-stars, she even suggested changes. And as the sources claim, it was during the shooting that Karan realised how great an aptitude Bebo has for cinema. But do you know how Kareena Kapoor improvised EMAET?

There were at least five scenes where Kareena Kapoor’s character of Riana Braganza was very similar to Geet of Jab We Met. After giving life to Geet on celluloid and making her a memorable character in Bollywood, the least Kareena wanted was the audiences to draw similarities between Riana and Geet. So she suggested the changes.

Karan Johar, who is also Kareena’s good friend, liked her suggestions which were, in fact, incorporated in the script. Thus “Karan has asked her to get on board as a formal assistant and then eventually direct a film,” the source tells a tabloid.

But as Kareena has her marriage plans in near future, her donning a director’s cap might take some time.
