Most ex lovers get ill at ease when confronted with each other, and the case was not different with Deepika Padukone and Siddharth Mallya when they attended the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Female and Male Awards recently.

We hear that when Deepika Padukone entered the venue at the Grand Hyatt, Siddharth Mallya was already in and enjoying a photoshoot backstage. After spotting Siddharth, Deepika chose to avoid him.

Siddharth, too, when he came to know of Deepika’s presence at the award function, made no effort to even exchange a pleasantry such as a casual “hi” or “hello” or “hey! there...how’re you” with Deepika Padukone.

In fact, when asked by a news channel, Siddharth confirmed that he was single and he refused to talk anything about Deepika.

“I am single. You don't go looking for love. It happens,” Sid said.

Deepika Padukone, on the other hand, rubbed it in by saying that she’s happy to be doing a romantic film with Ranbir Kapoor, another of her exes.

“I am just happy to be doing an Ayaan Mukherjee film with Ranbir, that too a romantic one, it could not get better than that,” she said.
