Katrina Kaif got a chance to play a politician in Prakash Jha’s film Raajneeti. Now, she will once again be seen in a challenging role in the director’s next film titled Satyagrah. It’s heard that Katrina pipped Kareena Kapoor to bag the project.
As per recent reports, both Katrina and Kareena were in the race for the lead role in the film Satyagrah which is based on the issue of corruption, said to be loosely inspired from the Anna Hazare movement. “Katrina and Kareena were being considered for the role but it is Kat who has bagged it finally. We are still trying to sort out the dates with her,” tells an insider to a tabloid.
In this film too, Katrina will be seen in a de-glam look like she did in Raajneeti. The movie might also star Akshay Kumar opposite her. Akki is reportedly even producing the film, which would also see Madhuri Dixit in a pivotal role.
Doing something substantial and meaty has always been on Katrina Kaif’s mind. Working with Prakash Jha in Raajneeti was an eye-opener for her, and if she agrees to do Satyagrah, this could add another feather to her cap.
