Katy Perry excited about performing at IPL
American singer Katy Perry is excited about her upcoming performance at the opening ceremony of this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) in Chennai.

“Next stop, Chennai! Can't wait to see you, India,” Katy Perry tweeted.

This would be the first time Katy Perry would perform in India. However, it won’t be her first visit to the country. She got married to the British comedian Russell Brand in 2010 in Ranthambore (Rajasthan) though it’s another matter that the two have parted ways now.

Buzz is that Katy Perry will perform her popular number ‘Firework’ at the opening ceremony. Rumour also has it that Priyanka Chopra, who is on the cusp of starting a singing career, might also join Katy Perry on stage.

The IPL opening ceremony on April 3 would be a star-studded affair. The line-up from Bollywood includes Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. Prabhu Deva from south would also perform a special act.
