Actress Paoli Dam’s wishes seem bolder than her daring scenes in her films. Paoli recently watched Titanic 3D and was highly impressed with the scene where the hero Leonardo DiCaprio makes a nude sketch of Kate Winslet. Such is her affection for the famous scene that she now pines for a nude painting of herself, that too, to be painted by the late painter M F Hussain.
As a source tells a daily, “Paoli wished Husain saab were around, so she could have requested him to paint her like Leo sketches Kate, wearing only a heart-shaped precious stone and nothing else.” It’s clear that Paoli is not shy of her sexuality which helped her bag her first Bollywood film Hate Story.
Paoli Dam is a controversial name in Bengali cinema. The actress has done steamy scenes in various films. Her last regional film Chatrak (Mushroom), released in 2011, stirred up a hornet’s nest because of Paoli’s intimate scenes involving frontal nudity. When Vikram Bhatt saw her in the movie he liked the conviction with which she did such scenes.
The movie Hate Story is ready to hit the theatres on April 20. Paoli Dam plays a reporter who becomes a victim of forced abortion and later turns into a prostitute to plot a vengeance scheme against the man who ruined her life. The trailer of the film is so explicit that it isn’t being aired on TV.
