Sonakshi Sinha getting ready for item song ‘Chikni Kamar’

Read the headline clearly, it’s Chikni Kamar and not Chikni Chameli. After Katrina Kaif’s hit Chikni Chameli, it’s Sonakshi Sinha’s turn to dance in an item song titled Chikni Kamar!

The song is a part of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Rowdy Rathore, and no one else but Sonakshi Sinha is the selected one to dance to the tune of Chikni Kamar. It’s said that the song is on the lines of Katrina Kaif’s item number Chikni Chameli, and Sonakshi Sinha is all charged up to set the screen on fire with her oomphy gyrations in her first ever item song.

Sonakshi Sinha prefers to call the track -- “a complete masaledaar song”. The song will be choreographed by Vishnu. From the sidelines, director and ace choreographer Prabhu Deva will also provide valuable inputs. Though Sonakshi has shown some jhatka-matka in her film Joker, her item song for Rowdy Rathod will be in a different league altogether.

Sonakshi has started practicing for the song, and isn’t asked to shed weight, neither is she dieting. “Prabhu Deva and everyone else I’m working with like me the way I am..” claims Sonakshi.

The song will also feature Akshay Kumar and will be soon shot in Hampi. Will Sonakshi Sinha be able to create the same magic as Chikni Chameli?
