First look and Trailer - Anurag Kashyap’s desi action film 'Gangs Of Wasseypur'

It’s probably his love for gritty, hard-hitting cinema that Anurag Kashyap is bold enough to release such films one after another. His next, a hardcore desi, fun and action flick Gangs Of Wasseypur, is all set to make a mark at Cannes Film Festival this year when it gets screened at 2012 Directors' Fortnight. Starring Manoj Bajpai and a talented bunch, the movie seems to be another treat for Bollywood buffs.

The first trailer of Gangs Of Wasseypur is out. The movie is about the coal mafia in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. It is set in Wasseypur, and in this small town “crime is inherited”. Manoj Bajpai is introduced in the trailer with a deadly dialogue -- “Humri zindagi ka bas ekk hi maksad...badlaa.” Sporting a near-bald look, the actor is the main star of the film.

The movie promises a complete package with regular naach gaana, punchy dialogues and other trappings of full-fledged commercial cinema. The folksy tune in the background zaps you instantly and lends a rustic flavour to the trailer. Anurag Kashyap is sure that the movie, which is going to be released in two parts, will be liked by everyone.

The trailer also has a steamy moment when an actress is shown backless! South actress Remma Sen is also part of the film, along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Syed Zeeshan Quadri, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Richa Chadda.

A little dope on the film: The movie is reported to be inspired from the story of Jharkhand politicians Suryadev Singh, Binod Singh and Sakeldeo Singh who was convicted of murder.
