Rakhi Sawant has let her tongue loose again. This time she’s taking on none other than Aamir Khan and accusing the star of stealing the concept of his show Satyamev Jayate from her own reality show Rakhi Ka Insaaf.
According to Rakhi, the concept of Aamir’s show is lifted from her 2010 show Rakhi Ka Insaaf in which she presided as a judge to help solve people’s problems.
“The show (Satyamev Jayate) is a complete copy of Rakhi ka Insaaf. They (the production house) have stolen our concept. The format of my show was similar,” Rakhi Sawant is quoted as saying in a TOI interview.
The drama queen, however, goes on to add that she has tremendous respect for Aamir Khan but is put off by the double standards that the industry shows. Rakhi’s grudge is that while her show Rakhi Ka Insaaf was derided as a cheap attempt by Rakhi to gain publicity, Aamir’s show is being seen as something of a great social crusade.
“When Aamir does a show like this, he is applauded and when I do a show like this, they say item girl kya insaaf dilayegi?” Rakhi Sawant ranted.
This is the second time Aamir Khan’s show Satyamev Jayate has come under allegations of plagiarism since it went on air on May 6. While, Rakhi’s allegation isn’t likely to be taken seriously, singer Palash Sen, the lead vocalist of the band Euphoria has accused music composer Ram Sampath of lifting the chorus of his (Palash’s) song for the title track of Satyamev Jayate.
