Director Kunal Kohli made Shahid Kapoor learn the dance antics of the late Shammi Kapoor for the 1960s era in his film Teri Meri Kahaani. Are you eager to see Shahid doing a Shammi ji? Watch the new song Jab Se Mere Dil Ko Uff where the lover boy Shahid woos Priyanka Chopra.

Earlier, director Kunal Kohli did mention that he’s made an attempt to portray Shammi Kapoor’s postures and mannerism in the song and he’s been very particular about not making these references look like spoofs. After shooting for the song Jab Se Mere Dil Ko Uff, Shahid Kapoor said it is homage to the Elvis Presley of India.

Wearing a white coat reminiscent of the golden era, Shahid is seen in a dance club. He slowly starts singing the song while stealing glances at Priyanka Chopra, who is dressed up like Mumtaz in a beautiful Manish Malhotra sari. Seeing Sasha’s impish charm, the actress can’t help smiling. Shahid even wields a saxophone for the song, and PC joins him zestfully on the dance floor, crooning Uff.

To prepare for the song, Shahid Kapoor was given a video compilation of Shammi Kapoor’s films and songs to pick up his nuances. Since Shahid is a great dancer and Priyanka a true stunner -- we think, both of them pulled off their retro characters quite well.
