After releasing romantic songs like Mukhtasar and Humse pyaar kar le tu, the makers of Teri Meri Kahaani have released yet another romantic song which depicts the era of 1910 in Lahore. Since Shahid Kapoor plays a poet in that period, the song shows him in shayrana andaaz, serenading Priyanka Chopra with this beautiful couplets in the song Allah Jaane.
The number is beautifully shot near Aurangabad (Maharashtra) and also Deogiri Fort. Besotted by Priyanka’s beauty, the lover boy Shahid follows her everywhere in the song. The romantic Urdu lines -- Mere dil pe fateh lehrane. Meri rooh ko bhiganey. Yeh noor Kahan se aaya. Iss baat ko Allah jaane -- are written by Prasoon Joshi, while the song is sung by the sufi singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The music of the song is by Sajid-Wajid.
The tender romance between the lead couple is the highlight of the track, because they are not a modern-day couple, who would say I love you to each other every time they meet, but find solace in gazing into each other’s eyes and emoting their true feelings by writing letters or uttering shayari. Priyanka Chopra as the girl of 1910 looks and act wonderfully, and Shahid Kapoor as the poetic lover is a delight to watch for his fans.
