The new theatrical trailer of the film Teri Meri Kahaani comes as a pleasant surprise because it’s better than the first one. Introducing Shahid Kapoor as a womanizer of 1910 and Priyanka Chopra as a demure girl of 2012, the trailer has its moments; but it’s Shahid, who steals the show, all over again.
The viewers were clueless about the characters Shahid and Priyanka are playing in the film, and the trailer shows it all -- Shahid’s modern day character is named Krish, he is Govind of 1960s, and plays Javed in 1910. What Priyanka Chopra is doing in the film? She is Radha of 2012, plays actress Rukhsar in the 1960s era and is Aradhna who falls for poet Javed in 1910.
Besides the introductory part, it’s Shahid who is a treat to watch in the trailer. As a womanizer Javed of 1910, who sleeps with the firang babes, Sasha wins us over when he utters the dialogue, “Woh hamare desh ki le rahen hain, main unki le raha hoon”. Funny indeed, when did we see a guy of pre-independence India enjoying his youthful days flirting around with the goris? Also watch out for Shahid as Javed conversing with his abbu, and saying that one day he will become a dulha.
The trailer doesn’t miss on the romance factor; the love-tension between the two protagonists also gets a scope in the trailer, but in the later half. There are also blink-and-miss appearances of two actresses in this promo -- one is Neha Sharma and another is Prachi Desai.
