Coming from the makers of 3 Idiots, the Sharman Joshi starrer Ferrari Ki Sawaari was expected to attract family audiences to theatres. Alas, the opening day response isn’t anything to honk about.
The movie, directed by Rajesh Mapuskar has got mostly positive reviews from the critics and the opening day response at box office fared between 20 percent to 25 percent. At some centres though, the film managed to have an occupancy of around 30 percent. The occupancy is likely to go up on Saturday and Sunday, but nothing stellar could be expected from the film.
On the other hand, Rowdy Rathore is still all the rage at box office. The film, starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha rounded off its two-week run at theatres with a nett figure of Rs. 114 crore.
Meanwhile, Shanghai wasn’t able to pick up at box office despite getting rave reviews. The film by Dibakar Banerjee only managed to make Rs. 17.5 crore in its first week.
